About Us

Madhu Human Skill & Development Sansthan is an Indian non-governmental organisation (NGO) located in Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh), established in 2015.

MHSDS's work is concentrated in the fields of Education, Health, Community Development and Domestic Violence which we believe are the areas of greatest need and deserve to be the foci of our attention. We believe the three are inter-related fields and together the only way to make a sustainable and impactful difference in the beneficiary population.

We work for the upliftment of the poor and destitute by helping them achieve socio-economic independence, self-sustainability and health. We do everything from providing educational and health services to the needy, mainstreaming marginalized street children, making low-literate youth employable and empowering women. We help those in need with full respect, love and commitment, with the aim to not deliver charity but to empower them to better their own lot.

Our Approach

MHSDS focuses on developing the potential of women and girls to drive long lasting equitable changes. We strategically emphasise on promoting quality healthcare, inclusive education, gender equitable and sustainable livelihood opportunities and disaster relief and preparedness.

Our efforts are focused to fight against underlying causes of poverty, building secure and resilient communities and ensuring a life of dignity for all women and girls from the most marginalised and vulnerable communities, especially among Dalits and Adivasis.

As we move ahead our key programming approaches will include social analysis and action, gender transformative value chain approaches, leadership and life skills strengthening, building capacities and leadership roles at multiple levels, advocacy on national and international platforms and facilitating links and dialogues between public, private and civil society.
